Creative ways to make recycled organizers
As upcycling, recycling, re-purposing or revamping, whatever you want to call it, becomes more popular, it seems that crafters' creative juices become more productive. I just love the way items that would have formally been sent to the garbage dump are now recycled to become something useful and even sought after.
Take organizers for example – once you realize how quick and easy it is to cover boxes and various packaging material to make custom made organizers for your home, you will look at packaging in a new light. Instead of trashing cardboard boxes and plastic containers, cover them and put them to use in the home. It's so easy to make organizers to fit into all those awkward spots in your closets. If you are a crafter you will never have enough organizers to store all the bits and pieces you accumulate for your various crafts.
Kids also love having colorful organizers in their rooms to hold stationery and small toys, even socks and underwear can be sorted into organizers, where they can easily be found in the mornings when everyone is rushing around when running late.
Making your own orgaizers is not expensive when you are using up the oddments in your fabric stash. Depending on where the organizers will be used, colorful wrapping paper or oddments of wallpaper or cheap cotton fabric from your local store.
